Limitations

What the atlas can and cannot claim

The atlas is useful because it is explicit about evidence boundaries. It is not clinical decision support.

  • Static v1 data is generated from a February 4, 2026 seed catalog plus local normalization on the current build date.
  • GRCh38 coverage is incomplete in the seed catalog; GRCh37 positions are preserved when available.
  • Drug labels can be curated gene-level associations. They must not be interpreted as approved indications without source review.
  • ClinicalTrials.gov and FDA notice fields are schema-ready but sparsely populated in this seed build.
  • The atlas intentionally avoids redistributing gated OncoKB or COSMIC data. It provides optional outbound hooks where URLs exist.
  • Displayed frequencies reflect source cohorts and should not be generalized across populations, assays, or cancer subtypes.
